CPDLC Departure Clearance
LEARJET 40/45
Controller–pilot data link communication (CPDLC) is a means of communication between controller and pilot, using data link for ATC communication. Implementation of CPDLC Departure Clearance (DCL) is currently underway by the FAA and the list of operational airports is steadily growing. Flightstar is offering this capability for the Bombardier Learjet 40 and Learjet 45 by way of STC #ST04421CH.
FLIGHTSTAR CPDLC SOLUTION IN THE LEARJET 40/45
This Flightstar CPDLC STC allows operators to utilize departure clearance procedures in domestic airspace with Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications Departure Clearance (CPDLC DCL) or in European airspace with Aeronautical Telecommunications Network, Level B1 (ATN B1) capabilities. Included in the STC is the option to add Future Air Navigation System (FANS) 1/A+ capabilities. Operators achieve this with the addition of a Satcom Direct Avionics Iridium Data Link Unit (DLU) and corresponding antenna.
Structural data is included for all installed equipment.
