Flightstar Expands Maintenance Operations with Additional Hangar
Champaign, IL (KCMI) – Flightstar Corporation, a leading full-service Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul operation (MRO) based in Central Illinois, is proud to announce a significant expansion initiative with the construction of a new aircraft storage hangar.
Designated as Hangar 11, this new facility will house managed aircraft and free up an existing storage hangar for maintenance operations. The reallocation effectively doubles the space dedicated to aircraft maintenance operations to address current and future maintenance demands. Upon completion, Hangar 11 will add 28,000 square feet of hangar capacity at Willard Airport (KCMI), bringing Flightstar’s total managed hangar area to over 142,000 square feet.
“We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our campus with the construction of this new aircraft storage hangar,” stated Mr. William Giannetti, President at Flightstar. “This addition allows us to streamline our existing infrastructure while continuing to provide exceptional services for our clients.”
Infrastructure development is underway, with hangar construction slated to follow immediately. The project is overseen by Dodds Company of Champaign Illinois and is anticipated to reach completion by Q4 of 2024.
