As a mechanic for Flightstar’s Airline Division, you will primarily work indoors in some of the newest, cleanest, and well-lit heated hangars in the industry.

This job requires a willingness and ability to learn new things, multi-task, and be detail-oriented. All applicants must prove to be drug-free, possess a current A&P Mechanic’s license, and valid driver’s license, and have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Details:

• Hourly rates start at $27.15 plus a $2 per hour shift differential
• Increases in starting pay for prior experience.
• Third Shift | 7:30 pm – 6:00 am.
• Valid driver and A&P Mechanics license.
• Must be able to read, write, interpret, and speak the English language.
• Candidates must pass background checks before the employment start date.
• Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Flightstar.

Interiors Department

The Flightstar Interiors Department is searching for an aircraft paint Technician to assist in all phases of aircraft painting at Flightstar. Daily operations range from sealer applications, masking, prepping, paint mixing, and polishing among other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to travel as needed.
• Completion of drug screening at the time of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, interpret, and speak the English language.
• Candidates must pass background checks before the employment start date. 
• Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Flightstar.

Business Aviation Division

General Aviation Division

The Flightstar General Aviation Division is actively seeking A&P Mechanics with experience associated with the Bombardier Challenger line of aircraft for our expanding service facility! Technicians perform scheduled maintenance and inspections for complex modifications and repairs.

Qualifications:

• Experience with the Bombardier Challenger product line and maintenance procedures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current A&P Mechanics license.
• Completion of drug screening at the time of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, interpret, and speak the English language.
• Candidates must pass background checks before the employment start date. 
• Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Flightstar.

Structures Division

Flightstar is actively seeking Aircraft Sheet Metal / Structures Technicians at our Savoy IL, MRO facility. A&P Mechanics license is preferred but not required. The starting salary is dictated by prior experience levels.

Qualifications:

• Completion of drug screening at the time of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, interpret, and speak the English language.
• Candidates must pass background checks before the employment start date.
• Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Flightstar.

Avionics Division

The Flightstar Avionics Department is in search of an experienced Avionics Installation and Service Technician. Daily operations range from troubleshooting to complete installation of avionics suites in private aircraft.

Experience with Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft is required and a minimum of 5 years installation experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Prior Part 23 or Part 25 experience.
• Prior avionics installation experience.
• Completion of drug screening at the time of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, interpret, and speak the English language.
• Candidates must pass background checks before the employment start date.
• Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Flightstar.

Interiors Department

The Flightstar Interiors Department is in search of entry level  installation and soft goods technicians. These team members remove and replace all aircraft soft goods and aircraft interior components in compliance with FAA regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Remove and reinstall all interior components for refurbishment in compliance with FAA regulations. Components include seats, carpets, side panels, PSUs, headliners, plating, baggage materials, curtains, etc.
• Evaluate the quality of the materials.
• Cut and install advanced custom-design carpets with unique patterns.
• Match patterns on panels to capture the entire look of the design and concept.
• Interpret material specs and design drawings to ensure the finished product meets design requirements.
• Function test all interior equipment and components to ensure functionality.
• Evaluate soft good components with a high level of detail prior to re-installation.
• Interpret materials specs and design drawings.
• Evaluate finished components with a critical eye. 
• Ability to work scheduled shifts.
