Mr. William Giannetti Honored with the Prestigious Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award
Savoy, IL (KCMI) – Flightstar proudly announces that Mr. William Giannetti, co-founder and President of Flightstar, has been awarded the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. This distinction recognizes pilots who have demonstrated exemplary aviation expertise and safety practices for 50 years or more.
Mr. Giannetti’s career in aviation is nothing short of extraordinary. Beginning his journey in 1974, he has accumulated over 20,000 total flight hours, completed several hundred North Atlantic crossings, and is type-rated in 12 different aircraft. In 1978, Mr. Giannetti co-founded Flightstar, where he remains President and actively flies as a Captain. Under his leadership, Flightstar has grown into a respected aviation industry entity known for its commitment to safety and excellence.
The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award is the highest honor the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gives to pilots who have demonstrated professionalism, skill, and aviation expertise by maintaining safe operations for 50 or more years. Named in honor of Orville and Wilbur Wright, the pioneers of powered flight, this award celebrates Mr. Giannetti’s remarkable contributions to the aviation industry.
